While reading literature we learn more than we might realise. »linked to—«, a book­azine, consciously plays with this. It displays scientific research in an alter­native way by combining an anthology of well-known literature (e.g. Roald Dahl) with science. The first edition of »linked­ to—« is about our skin. The scientific sections are digitally illustrated (inspired by the iconic medical textbook Gray's Anatomy). The pages between the short stories are also illustrated. These are, however, created by experimenting with the marbling of varnish. These images reinterpret and abstract stainings of histological specimen through a microscope.
